EIS, Inc. expands capabilities by acquiring Trient Technologies, Inc.

EIS, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, has acquired Trient Technologies, Inc., a Woodville, Wisconsin-based contract converter and provider of supply chain management services. The transaction will expand the capabilities and converting technologies of the EIS Fabrication Division, which operates out of four facilities in North America and serves a growing number of product manufacturers.

Founded in 1997, Trient Technologies focuses primarily on the automotive (OEM and aftermarket), medical, industrial, and aerospace markets, manufacturing highly engineered, flexible materials, such as pressure sensitive adhesives. Founders Mark Miller and Mark Nielsen will continue to serve in their respective positions as President and Vice President of Operations.

Mark Miller credits EIS and GPC with being the strategic partners Trient was seeking and comments, “Even though they are a publicly traded Fortune 500 company, they run their business as if it were family owned. We truly liked that about them and we look forward to a great, long-lasting relationship.”

Bob Thomas, President and CEO of EIS, says, “The engineering and manufacturing skills historically demonstrated by Trient are consistent with our growth strategy and fit well with our growing fabrication business.”

Franklin Partners, Inc., a Minneapolis-based merger and acquisition advisor, represented and advised Trient Technologies and its shareholders.
